Why Groom Your Dog?

Grooming through Salty Pack is an easy way to make sure your dog stays happy, healthy, and of course looking his or her best! With great options for grooming, you will be sure to have a safe, positive, and easy experience. Grooming is important for many reasons for all dogs, and at Salty Pack we want to help promote the wellbeing of your dog and strengthen the relationship between dog and handler.

Grooming maintains a healthy coat and fur for your dog, which in turn avoids matting in the fur. Mats can turn sinister when left too long as they can become tight and pull at the dog’s skin which can cause pain and discomfort, and can cause abrasions and ulcers. Brushing and regular grooming for your dog will help to remove any and all dead skin and fur (and hopefully keep most of it off your home’s floor)! While cutting a dog’s nails can be a scary task, regularly cut nails can help to avoid joint pain from misalignment of paw pads and also help to avoid nails from curling into paw pads. Just like the saying, “When you look good, you feel good,” we can make the same assumption for our pets. By ensuring your dog is well-groomed and taken care of, this can help to positively promote mental health by avoiding painful ungroomed consequences.
